About the author
Sheryl Marcoux was born and bred in Massachusetts to be a city girl. She married and moved to New Hampshire. Though her husband enjoyed cowboy paraphernalia, she had no hankering for holsters, hats, and horses. But the idea of the West grew on her, as did her romance with the cowboy, America’s “knight in shining armor.” Cowboy in the Moonlight was published in 2015 and won a Romance Writers of America Lone Star Award for inspirational fiction. Her second book, Divided Heart, was released in 2018.
Sheryl has a B.A. in Creative Writing and English from the University of Southern New Hampshire, where she received the Distinguished Scholar Award. She’s a member of Who’s Who Among Students, the National Honor Societies Phi Theta Kappa and Alpha Sigma Lambda, and the International English Honor Society Sigma Tau Delta. She also completed the Apprentice and Journeyman courses offered through the Christian Writers Guild. As a member of ACFW, she has served as a judge for their First Impressions and Genesis writing contests. Her background as a social worker lends an intimate insight into human behavior, which she employs to create compelling characters.
Sheryl shunned shopping malls, city traffic, and snow shovels to follow her cowboy West. They now live amidst the saguaro cacti in the Sonoran Desert of Southern Arizona.
